Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What is a Tiny House on wheels?
A: A Tiny House on wheels is a house built on trailer, that can be road registered and is categorised as a caravan.
Do not worry, it is still comfortable to live in and spacious inside. The Illawarra Mercury described our Tiny House as being like Dr Who's Tardis - bigger on the inside.

Q: I don't like the look of the wheels, can I take them off?
A: Yes we know the look matters, but safety should always come first. You can take the wheels off once your Tiny House is securely placed on your site. However, if you have no other choice but to park your Tiny House in a flood prone or bush fire risky area, we suggest you to leave the wheels on so it can be towed away easily.
Q: Do I have to maintain my registration?
A: We understand, even though the registration fees have dropped, paying year after year is no fun. If you are not planning to move your Tiny Home on the road, you don't have to maintain your registration. You can apply for an unregistered vehicle permit to tow your Tiny for a single trip (from A-B).
However, in NSW, a caravan has to remain compliant and capable of being registered. These rules may vary in other states.

Q: Do I need council approval for a Tiny Home?
A: The following rules apply to NSW only. Please check with your local council if they apply to you as rules will vary from state to state.
The Local Government (Manufactured Home Estates, Caravan Parks, Camping Grounds and Moveable Dwellings) Regulation 2005 (Subdivision 3) states the prior approval of the council is NOT required for:
(a) the installation of not more than 2 caravans, campervans or tents on any land, so long as they are not occupied for more than 2 days at a time and not occupied for more than 60 days (in total) in any single period of 12 months, or
(b) the installation of not more than one caravan or campervan on land occupied by the owner of the caravan or campervan in connection with that owner’s dwelling-house, so long as it is used for habitation only the owner or by members of the owner’s household and is maintained in a safe and healthy condition, or
(c) the installation of a caravan or campervan on pastoral or agricultural land, so long as it is merely occupied seasonally by persons employed in pastoral or agricultural operations on the land.

Q: My site is unserviced, can a Tiny Home still work?
A: Yes it can and will work. The beauty of a Tiny House is it can be set up completely off-grid with a composting toilet, solar panels and batteries, solar/gas hot water system, rain water tank etc.
Contact us to discuss if an off-the-grid option is something for you.

Q: What is your lead time?
A: We are pretty fast at constructing our tiny homes, however the entire process will still take 3-4 months from order to delivery. There are just certain things (like windows and joinery etc) that need to be custom made.
Believe us, they are worth waiting for.

Q: Do I have to pay everything in one go?
A: If you want to buy a house in our existing inventory, then you will need to pay us in total before you can tow it away.
Due to current demand it is hard for us to keep a house in our inventory. So your best bet is place an order and then space out your payments according to the following payment plan:
20% deposit so we can secure your spot and start ordering long lead time items
30% Prefabrication stage. this will take about 8-12 weeks
30% Installation. please be aware this will happen within several days
20% Internal fit-out. This will generally take 1-2 weeks
